CUTEK® FACTORY APPLIED MACHINE COAT OIL WAS USED TO PRE-COAT YOUR WOOD.
HERE'S WHY YOUR SUPPLIER CHOSE CUTEK®
CUTEK® oils have a 35+ year proven track record of standing up to the harshest environments. Experts know that CUTEK® oils offer powerful protection while enhancing the natural beauty of wood. CUTEK® oils repel moisture and diffuse deeply into the wood to displace water, this helps to: • maintain structural integrity • minimize cupping, warping and splitting • ensure the longest possible service life of the wood Once diffused, CUTEK® oils remain permanently mobile in the wood, with a novel ‘self-healing’ action, that works to keep moisture out even after being cut or perforated with fasteners.

Once the construction phase is done clean off any construction debris, dirt or other surface contaminants by soft washing with CUTEK® Quick Clean and thoroughly rinsing off.
Once the surface is completely dry, apply a second coat of CUTEK® Extreme Clear Oil. CUTEK® Extreme Oil contains no UV protection so your wood will Patina to a beautiful Silver color over time while the CUTEK® Wood oils work to protect your wood from moisture infiltration
(B) PREVENTING THE WOOD FROM FADING OR SILVERING.
To prevent the wood from fading or silvering off, a CUTEK® Colortone must be used with the CUTEK® Extreme oil. The Colortones can be applied at different ratios of tubes per gallon depending on the depth of color you desire and the amount of UV protection required for your specific application. When using CUTEK® Colortones it is best practice to apply a second coat within 1 year of the first or as soon as the first coat is completely dry. CUTEK® Colortones are available in 18 different colors and have been designed to complement most wood species.
(C) CUTEK ® Pre-Mixed Colortone samples are available through the retailer where you purchased your wood. Always obtain a CUTEK® Pre-Mixed Sample to assess your color choice and product suitability for use on your actual wood BEFORE proceeding with your project.
