Yes. CUTEK® Wood Solutions works with wood manufacturers, lumber suppliers and other industry partners around the world, and CUTEK® oil pre-treated lumber is available in some markets.

Contact us with your project requirements and location, and where possible, we’ll help connect you with a supplier who can provide CUTEK® oil pre-treated lumbar. 

Start by working out what condition the wood is in and whether an existing coating or treatment is present.

Dirt and grime? Clean it. → CUTEK® Quickclean
Weathering or staining? Revive it. → CUTEK® Wood Reviver
An unwanted coating? Strip it. → CUTEK® Wood Stripper and then → clean with CUTEK® Wood Reviver

CUTEK® Extreme needs to penetrate into clean, bare, dry wood, so any existing coating that prevents penetration needs to be removed first.

Yes - and where practical, pre-coating can be a great way to protect the wood before installation.

For best results, apply one coat of CUTEK® Extreme to all faces of the wood before installation, then apply the next coat to exposed faces once the first coat has fully penetrated and dried.

This helps get CUTEK® Extreme into the wood from the beginning, supporting moisture management and dimensional stability as your project takes shape.

First, don’t automatically sand or strip it. Normal CUTEK® maintenance doesn’t require either.

Assess the condition of the wood. If it simply needs maintenance, clean it thoroughly, allow it to dry and recoat with CUTEK® Extreme when the wood is ready to accept more oil.

If the wood has become heavily weathered, stained or neglected - or the customer wants to restore or change its appearance - additional preparation may be required.
