The Swim Centre showcases how mass timber can create warm, welcoming environments within high performance public spaces. Designed to balance durability with architectural beauty, the exposed timber structure brings a natural softness to a typically hard, humid environment. Large glulam elements span across the pool hall, delivering both structural strength and visual impact while being exposed to constant moisture and temperature variation.

To ensure long-term performance, CUTEK® wood oil was applied to protect the timber from within, helping to stabilize moisture movement and reduce the risk of cupping, warping, and splitting. The result is a resilient, low maintenance structure that maintains its integrity while enhancing the overall user experience
