Nestled in Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, the home is surrounded by a variety of native and exotic flora that has been repeat planted to create privacy around the home. With such solitude, it was important to the owners to have a strong indoor-outdoor flow which allows them to enjoy the garden and space around them.

In seeking to reflect the natural surrounds of the home and be sustained through bushfire season, Silvertop Ash cladding was chosen for the exterior of the home. Coated in CUTEK® Extreme CD50 and tinted with CUTEK®’s Grey Mist Colortone allowed the timber cladding to turn silver instantly, further reflecting the property’s many silver gumtrees. In a bid to add definition to the home entrances and window frames, CUTEK® Colortone Black Ash was used and created a stunning yet subtle contrast to the grey of the cladding.

By using CUTEK® Extreme CD50 with CUTEK® Colortones, the Silvertop Ash will not only be protected from UV rays but also less likely to cup, warp and split overtime. CUTEK® oils are designed to penetrate deeply into the timber and protect it from the inside out, minimizing maintenance and reducing the need to replace cladding.
