Refugio Murta is a timber refuge in southern Chile, developed by Patagonia Partners as part of a vision for sustainable architecture around Lake General Carrera. Designed by Tomás Villalón, the project responds to extreme climatic conditions

through the use of CUTEK® wood oil with Colortone, enhancing durability and resilience. The design prioritizes simplicity, openness and connection to landscape, with a circular, wind-sheltered form and uninterrupted views between lake and mountains. A central courtyard and fire organize movement and social life, creating a flexible, climate-responsive interior
